SPC David Tyler Carpenter, age 38 of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021.

He entered this life on February 6, 1983 in Toledo, Ore. He was a disabled veteran of the United States Army. David was a paratrooper sky soldier with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He was a combat engineer, and he took pride in fighting for his country and made the Army his life.

Prior to devoting himself to the military, David was the owner and operator of Carpenter Logging. He loved hunting, fishing and was known to have a great work ethic.

Survivors include his parents, Scott and Tami Carpenter; children, Talya, Wyatt, Jayce and Colt Carpenter; maternal grandmother, Connie Dooley; aunt, Pam (Bob) Englund; and cousins, Stefanie Chase and Kimberly Wing.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in his hometown of Oregon.
