CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Southside Summer Nights Concert Series kicked off Friday at the Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement, 4711 Weakly Rd. in southern Montgomery County.
More than 150 people enjoyed the music on opening night performed by the popular local group, Back Lot Pickers featuring father-son duo, Donald and Lucian Greene.
Future concerts include Queen City Committee, playing Friday, July 26, six members that hail from California to Clarksville who play classic rock from the 60s and 70s, Motown and Country. On Friday, August 23, multi-talented musicians and vocalists BAM will entertain the audience. The trio plays shows throughout Tennessee and Kentucky.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a quilt for a 6:30 p.m. start time. Bring a picnic or enjoy onsite food trucks and lawn games. Concerts will wrap up at 8:30 p.m.
Purchase tickets in advance online at EventBrite.com to receive a special Buy-One-Get-One-Free pricing. Individual tickets are $12, plus tax, for ages 13 and up. The offer will be set up the first of the month of each concert. You can also purchase tickets through the EventBrite link on the Historic Collinsville website and Facebook page.
Historic Collinsville is open Saturdays from 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 – 5:00p.m. Regular admission is free for ages six and under and $7 for ages seven and up. The property is open other days and times for groups of six or more for reservations, rentals, weddings, or special events.
