MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Clarksville Police Department will conduct a sobriety roadside safety checkpoint during the week of January 30 on Highway 48 in Montgomery County.
Officers will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment. They will target those who operate a vehicle while impaired and take corrective actions for other violations observed while ensuring the protection of all motorists.
THP says that sobriety checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.
