CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The latest winter storm projections show Clarksville will likely get only 1-2 inches of accumulation from this weekend’s snow.
Updated forecasts from the National Weather Service predict that the band of heavy snow will hit farther south and east of us, with only the southeast portion of Montgomery County still in the 3-4 inches range.
Still, the storm’s impact remains uncertain, with it all depending on how much moisture is still in the air when temperatures drop tonight.
“Initial rain showers today will transition to a rain/snow mixture as late evening hours progress with a change over to all snow overnight,” an NWS advisory said.
The Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 6 p.m. today through 6 p.m. Sunday for entire Midstate.
Expect travel to be hazardous, particularly to the south of Montgomery County.
Snow showers will continue through Sunday before tapering off across eastern portions of Midstate Sunday evening.
