Update, 2:50 p.m.: With temperatures expected to drop to 5 degrees in Clarksville tonight, and a wind chill of -5, a Wind Chill Advisory has been issued. The advisory is in effect from 11 p.m. tonight to 10 a.m. Wednesday.

“The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken,” the NWS said. “Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”

The good news is that relief is on the horizon.

“It will warm up some Wednesday, still not above freezing, but we’ll get plenty of sun Wednesday,” NWS Meteorologist Mark Rose told Clarksville Now. “So we should start to see some decent melting of all the snow.”
