CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The National Weather Service in Nashville says an incoming arctic cold front will bring snow to the midstate Sunday.
Light snow will start Sunday morning and continue through the afternoon. Travel conditions could become hazardous in the afternoon.
Accumulation is predicted to be 1-3 inches.
Warmer air Sunday night will cause precipitation to become all rain, but freezing rain may cause icy conditions.
Most of the mid state will transition to all rain with above freezing temperatures by daybreak on Monday, but the upper Cumberland region could stay icy through mid-morning.
Sunday’s high is 35 degrees with a low of 31. Temperatures will likely reach 45 degrees Monday.
Forecasters noted that this system is still in the developing stages and the exact precipitation types and amounts may change.
