CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Rain and falling temperatures will likely produce sleet, freezing rain, and a few snowflakes late Friday through early Saturday in the Clarksville area

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as Stewart and Houston counties from 6 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service say the slick spots will be scattered and mainly on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses.

Areas of southern Kentucky, including Christian, Logan, Todd and Trigg counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory for ice up to 1/10 of an inch.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
