CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a head-on collision involving two vehicles at around 1 p.m. Tuesday on Riverside Dr. in front of Wendy’s restaurant near the intersection of Spring Street.

Officer Natalie Hall said six people were injured, but none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Five of the injured individuals were transported by EMS to Gateway Medical Center. One person was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Police said the driver of a 2010 Mercury Mariner, 22-year-old Sara Jane Leeson from Chillicothe, OH, came across the center turn lane and struck a 2000 Buick Century driven by 20-year-old David S Reed from Clarksville. Charges are pending.
