Update, 2 p.m.: A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for Clarksville from 6 p.m. Sunday through noon Monday. With lows in the single digits, wind chills as low as 5 below 0 are expected.
“The cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken,” the NWS said. “Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.”

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The low is expected to dip to 8 degrees Sunday night in Clarksville, and Monday’s high will be only 23 degrees.
“Temperatures will drop below freezing Saturday night and won’t rise above freezing until Wednesday or Thursday, depending on your location,” the National Weather Service said. “Dangerously cold temperatures will settle in Sunday night and will last through early Wednesday.”

There’s a slight chance of snow Saturday night, with little to no accumulation in Clarksville.
Emergency Warming Shelter
Anyone needing shelter can go to the Clarksville Area Urban Ministries Emergency Warming Shelter at the Madison Street UMC Gymnasium, 300 Commerce St. The shelter is open seven days a week, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for as long as the overnight temperatures are below freezing. The shelter is in particular need of volunteers and is urging people to sign up online to help.
