CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Work on the North Clarksville YMCA is rapidly moving ahead in preparation for the grand opening scheduled for December 21 and Y Executive Director, O’Bee O’ Bryant says people don’t have to wait for their doors to open to get signed up.
O’ Bryant says from now until December 20 you can save money because there is no joining fee to be a member of the Y with sign-ups going on now, next door at Daymar Institute, 2691 Trenton Road Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. O’Bryant added that when you sign up you’ll also have access to the Y on Hillcrest Drive.
On December 20 there will be a ribbon cutting at the North Clarksville YMCA and then on December 21 at 7:00 a.m. the facility will open to the public. “We’ll have tours and people can come by and walk through the building and we’ll actually have classes beginning,” said O’ Bryant.
“It is a beautiful location with state-of-the-art equipment. It’s family friendly and the nursery and the toddler area is huge. We’ll have some great programming for our youth and it’s a family center that will be available for everyone. It’s going to be exciting, we’ll have a lot going on,” O’Bryant said.
