Update, 8:15 a.m.: The shots fired and car crash incident started Tuesday evening at a home on Caskey Drive, according to police Lt. Charles Gill.

Sharanda Dooley, 35, entered the home and took property, and she kidnapped a 17-year-old at gunpoint, Gill said. Dooley left, then returned to take more property. When Dooley was confronted, the teenager was able to get away, and Dooley left again.

At some point, witnesses reported that shots were fired.

Dooley crashed on Britton Springs Road while trying to evade responding officers, and she was taken into custody, Gill said.
