CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Police have made an arrest in a shooting on Pat Drive that prompted a lockdown at St. Bethlehem Elementary Tuesday.

A press release states, “Evidence of the crime was observed in plain view so detectives investigating the incident were notified and Mr. Jett was taken into custody.”

According to Sgt. Gill, the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. When police arrived at the scene, the victim had already left.

St. B Elementary was temporarily placed on lockdown with an officer in the parking lot, but the lockdown has since been lifted.

“The Clarksville Police Department believes that the public was never in any danger and that this was a dispute between two individuals,” Sgt. Gill said. “We believe that the school was never in any danger and this was done just to be overly cautious.”

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information can contact Det. Channing Bartel or Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS (8477).
