CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One person was killed in a shooting at 3:48 a.m. at 2136 Memorial Drive.
The victim has been identified as 61-year-old Leonard Bacarella of Murfreesboro. He died from his injuries before he could be LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
The suspect, 36-year-old William Buchanan of Clarksville, was immediately detained and has been charged with criminal homicide. He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.

Investigators believe the incident was not a random act of violence and that the individuals knew each other. Police said it appears that this incident is not connected to any other incident.
