Shirley Jewell Ables Harris, 76, of Clarksville, TN, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born August 23, 1937 in Meridian, MS to the late Willard Lee Ables and Velma Louise Brewer.
A private memorial service was held at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Willard E. Ables officiating.
Shirley was a sales associate at JC Penny’s.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Harris, Jr. of Clarksville, TN; son, Edwin Harris, III (Lenore) of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Donna Amos of Pinellas Park, FL; brother, Rev. Willard E. Ables (Betty) of Chickasaw, AL; sister, Betty Jean Moore of Satsuma, AL; and four grandchildren.
