CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a threat of violence against a “Northeast High” on social media, according to a press release sent out Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018.
School Resource Officers have investigated that threat and have confirmed the threat was directed at a Northeast High School in another state.
“As with any threat, we will will have an increased law enforcement presence on the campus of the affected school,” MCSO spokesperson Sandra Brandon said. “We do not want students, parents, school staff, or the community to be alarmed by the increased presence. The safety of students and school staff members are always a top priority.”
