CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office held its 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off on Friday, February 27 at the Public Safety Complex. Chili entries were submitted from sheriff’s deputies and other Public Safety Complex personnel.

An award consisting of a gold, silver or bronze ladle was given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. First place went to Sergeant Jimmy Brown, second place was Lieutenant Jason Litchfield with third place going to Chief Deputy John Smith.

Judges for the chili cook-off were Ed Baggett and Billy Webb with Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services, Elizabeth Black, Montgomery County Public Information Officer, and Lee Erwin from Clarksvillenow.com

The event was also a fundraiser as members and staff at the Sheriff’s office raised over $300 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Montgomery County.
