CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) held an active shooter training exercise at Clarksville Christian School Monday, Jan. 4.
The class was called Community Response to Active Shooter Events. It is organized and funded by the Alert Organization.
Teachers and staff were taught about what law enforcement expects them to do during an active shooter situation at the school.
“It’s important that everyone is on the same sheet of music, that both law enforcement agencies and the public at large know what to expect,” MCSO Investigator Jeff Morlock said.
Jeff Morlock and Chris Olson were the instructors for the exercise, and Ryan Ayrest played the role of the shooter. Daniel Gagnon and Jesse Hedrick also participated.
