CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hosted their 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off Friday, on St. Patrick’s Day. The event kicks-off the Sheriff’s Office annual fundraising for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
There was a lot of competitive talk going on around the room in between spoonfuls of delicious chili. There were 15 entries from sheriff’s deputies and members of the sheriff’s office staff and $400 was raised which will go to the Montgomery County Relay for Life.
The 1st Place, Gold Ladle, went to Capt. Jesse Reynolds who also won the People’s Choice award, 2nd Place and the Silver Ladle went to Sgt. Jimmy Brown and 3rd Place with the Bronze Ladle was won by Investigator Mark Stone.
Judges for the chili cook-off were Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Emergency Management Agency Director, Jerry Buchannan, Emergency Medical Services Director, Jimmie Edwards and Lee Erwin from 5-Star Media Group.
