MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – Several citizens have called the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office inquiring about whether a mailer they received soliciting donations from the Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association is real or a scam.
The mailer has gone out this month, and asks for donations to support law enforcement.
These mailers are not part of a scam, and are legitimately used to request donations for the organization. However, the organization will never solicit by telephone.
