CROFTON, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – An eight-year-old boy is accused of threatening his babysitter with a knife and stealing her car Friday morning in Christian County, according to WKRN News 2.
The child was reportedly captured not far from the scene.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9 a.m. to McBride Lane, north of Crofton.
The babysitter told deputies that the boy, armed with a knife, stole her car but only made it a few yards before the vehicle became stuck, investigators said.
Deputies reported the eight-year-old was transported to Cumberland Hall Hospital, a mental facility, for evaluation following the incident. It is not clear if the child will be charged.
