Sharon “Sherri” Mathis Garner, age 59, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at her residence.
Sherri was born on November 19, 1964, in Greenville, SC to the late James Mathis and Onieda Hendricks. Sherri is also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ashlee Garner.
Sherri is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Craig Garner, sons, Brandon (Sierra) and Nathan Garner; grandchildren, Braxton Miller, Myles Garner, Kaison Garner, and Paisley Garner.
Sherri was a graduate of APSU and continued her education at Trevecca Nazarene University where she earned her Master’s Degree. Throughout her 20 years of teaching at Hazelwood Elementary she was able to touch many lives. Sherri was a faithful servant and a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.
A Celebration of life in Sherri’s honor will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Hilldale Baptist Church at 11 AM with Rev. Larry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home.
