Sgt. Raymond Miles 56 passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 after a long illness.
The funeral service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Wednesday July 10, 2013 at Boiling Spring Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Foset Hill Cemetery Memphis, TN.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 9, 2013, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8p.m. at Foston Funeral Home.
He was born October 24, 1956 to the late Robert L. and Pearlie Ann Miles, Sr. in Memphis, TN.
He accepted Christ at an early age at Eastern Star Baptist in Memphis, TN where he served as a choir member and other activities. He was a 1974 graduate of Central High School and retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He was a member of Boiling Spring Missionary Baptist Church where he was the Treasurer, and was a faithful member of Cumberland River South Kentucky Middle Tennessee Baptist District Association Brotherhood, and a lifelong member of NAACP.
He leaves to cherish his memory brothers, Robert L. (Darlene) Miles, Jr and Richard Miles; sisters Mary Miles, Pearlie Miles and Patricia Harris; loving niece Teresa Miles Vaulex and Marchesa Miles devoted friend Birdie Robinson godsons, Montel Lavelant and Kori Burton and host of family and friends.
