A Celebration of Life service for SGT Coy Manuel Oliver, ARMY (Ret), age 97, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 29,2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Coy was born on September 25, 1925, in Selma, NC, to Zaddock and Bertha Oliver. He retired from the United States Army and enjoyed playing guitar, singing, fishing, traveling, and working on cars.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Willame Oliver; son, Johnny E. Oliver; daughter, Shirley A. Williamson; and 14 siblings.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Clark; grandchildren: Robert, Angela, Kenneth, Steven, Shawn, and Trayci; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
