SGM (Retired) Franklin Thomas “Tom” Walsh, age 61, of Clarksville, died Monday, May 19, 2014 at his home. He was born in McAlester, OK, to the late Marvin Walsh and Ruth Green Walsh.
Tom was retired from the US Army. His service included one tour in Vietnam.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – West, in Hopkinsville, KY, with full Military Honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Military personnel will serve as Pallbearers.
Mr. Walsh is survived by his wife, Micki Lusk Walsh; two daughters, Amanda Walsh and Courteney Walsh, both of Clarksville; two brothers, Phillip Walsh (Sherrie), of Krugerville, TX, and Marvin Walsh (JoAnn), of Wichita Falls, TX; and three grandchildren, Christian Newman, Hayli Walsh, and Gavin Lyle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
