CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) -The National Weather Service says there is a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) for severe thunderstorms across northern Middle Tennessee Monday night.

A line of strong to potentially severe thunderstorms is expected to race across Middle Tennessee from Monday evening into early Tuesday morning. Storms within the line will be capable of producing damaging winds and a few tornadoes. Locally heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding will also be possible in a few areas.
HEADS UP: Strong storms tonight may spawn a few tornadoes while many of you are sleeping. Any tornadoes that develop will be moving fast (40 to 50 mph) and will spin up quickly, so it's important that you are able to act very quickly if a warning is issued.
