CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Wet weather is expected today for much of Middle Tennessee. According to the National Weather Service, a few strong thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening. Gusty winds and small hail will be the main threats. There is the potential for storms which could lead to isolated instances for flooding.

TODAY: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
TONIGHT: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Storms are expected to bring in cooler temperatures, with a weekend high in the 80s.
