Update, 5:03 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for northern Montgomery County and northeastern Stewart County until 5;30 p.m.
At 5:01 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Big Rock to near Clarksville, moving northeast at 35 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts. “Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees,” the NWS said.
Update, 4:50 p.m.: At 4:44 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Land Between the Lakes to 11 miles southwest of Clarksville. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. Hazards include wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A strong thunderstorm is moving toward Clarksville, according to a hazardous weather alert from the National Weather Service.
At 4:17 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Erin, moving northeast at 35 mph with possible wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
“Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects,” the NWS said. “Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.”
