CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Severe storms that may produce damaging winds are possible this weekend in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.
The National Weather Service says a slight risk of severe thunderstorms will be possible Saturday afternoon and evening across Middle Tennessee. Damaging winds will be the main threat, but isolated tornadoes may also be possible.

More rain is again expected across the mid state region tonight through Sunday morning. Total rainfall amounts during this time period will range from around 1.5 inches to around 2.5 inches.
These total rainfall amounts may have an affect on area rivers.
A Flood Advisory remains in effect for the Cumberland River through Monday evening and the water remains high. Officials said the river will rise to near 45.4 feet by Thursday afternoon. Flood stage is 46 feet.
