Severe storms threaten mid-state with damaging winds, hail

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Numerous storms will occur today and tonight ahead of a cold front approaching Middle Tennessee from the west.

Some of these storms will become strong to severe with possible damaging straight-line winds.

According to the National Weather Service, the peak time for severe storms is between 6 and 10 p.m. this evening.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the following counties through midnight:
Montgomery County,TN
Logan County,KY
Todd County,KY
Christian County,KY
Houston County,TN
Stewart County,TN
Caldwell County,KY
Trigg County,KY
Lyon County,KY
