CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – More than a dozen crashes were reported along I-24 from vehicles traveling too fast in the iced-over passing lanes.
Christian County Deputies were called to 11 crashes. Kentucky State Police were called to three more including one involving a tractor trailer.
In Joelton, a vehicle flew off I-24 Wednesday around 6 a.m. Officials said the driver attempted to pass another vehicle and hit ice on the shoulder. The vehicle traveled past the guardrail and flipped upside down.
The driver was not injured.
Travelers are asked to use extreme caution as many roads remain hazardous.
