CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hosted a retirement party for Sergeant Larry McCrobie on Friday, January 15.
Sheriff John Fuson started the event with a speech highlighting McCrobie’s dedicated and honorable career at the Sheriff’s Office. Assistant Chief Douglas Tackett concluded by presenting McCrobie with his badge and a plaque in recognition of his loyal service.
Afterwards fellow deputies took turns reminiscing about Sgt. McCrobie’s 23 years of service at the Sheriff’s Office. Many spoke of his firm yet compassionate nature and how that helped him be an excellent boss and jailer.
McCrobie started his career at the Sheriff’s Office in the detention center in 1992. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2004. Prior to the Sheriff’s Office McCrobie served in the United States Military and retired with full honors.
McCrobie’s retirement plans include spending as much time as he can with his wife and family.
