MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – A semi-truck crashed through an abandoned building Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 48/13 and Highway 149 in Montgomery County.
According to Sgt. Jimmy Brown with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the truck was traveling downhill on 149 when the driver was unable to stop at the red light. The truck hit another vehicle before it overturned and skidded into the side of a building.
The empty building was previously a Dollar General store. No one was inside at the time of the crash.
The driver of the tractor trailer, identified as Nicholas Clenin, 29, of New Mexico and the 21-year-old SUV driver were injured and transported to a local hospital, but their conditions were not released.
There is no further information at this time.
