CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville Gas and Water construction crew will close approximately 500 feet of the outer northbound lane on North Riverside Drive between McClure Street and North Spring Street Thursday, Aug. 1 at 9:00 p.m. The lane will be closed to allow workers to remove an old fire hydrant out of service.
Water service will be turned off while the work is performed and will affect businesses along this section of North Riverside Drive from 11:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. early Friday morning. The lane will reopen at 2:00 a.m. when the work is anticipated to be finished.
The inside lane of North Riverside Drive will be open to traffic; however, motorists are asked to slow down and be alert to workers and equipment when approaching the work zone.
