CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A second victim has come forward claiming a former Clarksville police officer followed her around a store, making her feel uncomfortable.

30-year-old Anthony Murphy was arrested earlier this month after a woman said he filmed her on his cell phone while she was shopping in Hobby Lobby. Police arrived to investigate and found potential evidence on his phone. He was arrested and charged with assault and tampering with evidence.

According to another arrest warrant, a second potential victim told police last week that a suspect who is believed to be Murphy had also followed her around Hobby Lobby sometime between November 1 and December 31 of 2015. The victim said he had a phone in his hand and was wearing a dark ball cap, a light jacket, an beige pants.

The victim said she was scared and left the store, and the man followed her to the parking lot.

The arrest warrant states that the victim saw the previous article about Murphy’s arrest on ClarksvilleNow.com. When she saw his booking photo, she recognized him as the same person who had followed her.

Murphy was arrested a second time on March 17 and charged with assault.

Records from the City of Clarksville show that Murphy resigned from the Clarksville Department on January 20, 2015 after sexual allegations were investigated by CPD, according to his disciplinary file.
