CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The second man charged with the shooting death of  32-year-old Desergio Taylor has been arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Decory Smith, 34, was released from the hospital on Friday, Jan. 31 and charged with Criminal Homicide and violation of probation. He is being held without bond.

Smith along with Marc Crowder, 35, are charged with shooting Taylor multiple times inside a home at 110 Bennett Drive on Jan. 15, 2020.

He died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from his injuries, according to a news release from Clarksville Police spokesman Jim Knoll.

Based on witness accounts, Crowder and Smith, were allowed inside of the residence.  As soon as the men were inside, they were allegedly heard saying, “You know what this is,” and then multiple gunshots were heard.

The two men fled in a gray Jeep Cherokee while Desergio Taylor remained inside, mortally wounded.  One of the men leaving the scene was identified as Smith, the release said.
