CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The second group for 2015 completed the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) workshops this month. The group began the process in April with plans to complete their certifications by December 2015.
The workshop participants included representation from the following organizations: Batson Nolan PLC; Creative Wetcast Profucts, Inc.; DBS & Associates (re-certification); Firestone Complete Auto Care; First Baptist Church; Honest-1 Auto Care and SRS Distribution.
During the program, participants learned how they can save money on expenses, share resources for disposal of waste materials and develop environmental plans. Organizations that participate in the workshops also learn about the environmental issues that affect Clarksville-Montgomery County from local professionals who work in those areas. The presenters represented the following organizations: Bridgestone Metalpha USA; Florim, USA; Bi-County Solid Waste Management, Clarksville Stormwater Management; Clarksville Department of Electricity, Clarksville Gas & Water Department, Metropolitan Planning Organization; Montgomery County Stormwater Management; Nyrstar, and Trane.
