CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A second 16-year-old has been charged with homicide following a double shooting in August at 9th and Shearor Street that left one dead and one injured in Clarksville.

The first 16-year-old was charged three days after the shooting.

The Clarksville Police Department is not authorized to release the names of juveniles charged with crimes, according to a news release from CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

On Aug. 20, police responded to a shooting in progress call at 11:02 p.m. in the area of 9th and Shearor Street.

When officers arrived, two male victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Tennova Healthcare, where one of the victims was pronounced deceased.

The homicide victim was identified as 32-year-old Emmanuel Tyson from Clarksville.
