CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – One week after a Clarksville mother was shot to death, the search for a suspect continues.
22-year-old Taren Lyles was found with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle near Franklin and 11th Street on Sunday, June 17.

Her two young children ages 1 and 2 years old were strapped into their car seats at the time of the shooting.
The children were not injured, though multiple rounds were fired into the vehicle. They are now staying with family members.
Police are continuing to interview witnesses and are still working to identify suspects.
On Sunday, June 24, friends of Lyles held a candlelight vigil near the crime-scene.
