CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Schools will close two hours early today in Montgomery County, with severe storms expected to roll in this afternoon.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools sent the following to parents this morning:
“Due to the threat of severe weather this afternoon, all CMCSS schools will dismiss two hours early today, Thursday, March 25.
“As an example, if a school normally begins dismissal at 2:30 p.m., dismissal will begin at 12:30 p.m. today. Parents and guardians who pick up students in the afternoon should arrive at the school two hours before their normal times, and families should expect bus riders and walkers to arrive home two hours before their normal times.
“All after-school activities and athletics are canceled today.
“Based on the information provided by the National Weather Service, the estimated timing of severe weather is 4 p.m. today. We encourage all of our families to have a severe weather plan in place for this afternoon. Please stay alert and stay safe.”
