FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Screaming Eagle Foundation and its partner-charity, the Patriot Foundation, are again set to award scholarships in 2019 for the children of soldiers from 101st Airborne Division who may have been lost or injured during the currently ongoing conflict against terror.

Screaming Eagle Foundation Executive Director, Randal Underhill, said the foundation will provide a $50,000 grant for its Surviving Children’s Scholarship Program. The funds for this scholarship program are from donations raised from around the middle Tennessee area and support the children of the 101st Airborne Division, Air Assault and other Fort Campbell Forces Command Units.

Since its inaugural year, The Screaming Eagle Surviving Children’s Scholarship has awarded $150,000 in scholarship grants to eligible dependent children.

Both the Screaming Eagle Foundation and the Patriot Foundation are committed to providing these Scholarships to the current and past 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell families who’ve lost their loved ones in service or borne the injuries of the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and other locations where soldiers are engaged in operations.

The Screaming Eagle Foundation is now taking applications. Eligibility requirements and forms can be found here. Completed applications must be received by September 1, 2019.

All dependent children, from birth to age 22, of fallen or wounded Fort Campbell soldiers are eligible and encouraged to apply for a scholarship. This includes children of soldiers currently serving in the 101st Airborne Division who may have previously received a Purple Heart Medal as well as the children of those 101st Airborne Division Veterans of Afghanistan or Iraq, who may have already separated from the Army or been medically retired.
