Sara Sylvia Taylor Hill, age 96, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Signature Healthcare.
Sylvia was born October 4, 1919 in Stewart County, TN, to the late Fred Taylor and Sara Lancaster Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernie Hill, Sr.; five brother; and four sisters.
Mrs. Hill was a vamper at the Acme Boot Company and a member of Forest Street United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 21, at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Dowdy and Rev. Sonny Kim officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, November 21, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Sylvia is survived by her son, Vernie Hill, Jr. of Clarksville; one grandson, Kenneth (Lara) Hill of Clarksville; and two great grandchildren, Morgan Smith of Clarksville and Shellie Swinczyk of Pleasant View, TN.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
