Sandy Woody, age 70 of Dover, Tenn., and formerly Cadiz, Ky., passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
Born January 22, 1951, in Stewart County, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Wallace and Edith Nolen Wallace. She worked in manufacturing and retail for a number of years. She was a loyal follower of Dr. Charles Stanley’s television ministry.
Sandy loved to read, enjoyed flower gardening and loved Christmas. She dearly loved her family and was always willing to help anyone, expecting nothing in return. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Woody; brothers, Darrel Wallace and Charles Hooper, and her sister, Dorothy Bryant.
She is survived by her son, Tim Taylor (Regina Mathis); brother, Phillip Wallace, and sisters, Jo Ann Norman, Marilyn Mendoza and Joyce Rushing.
Arrangements are handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 19. Bro. Paxton Redd will officiate, and burial will follow in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.
