CLARKSVILLE, TN − The American Legion CSM Gary W. Crisp Post 289, in collaboration with the Kenwood High School JROTC, is proud to host the annual Run in Our Boots 5K and 1-Mile Youth Run on Saturday, May 17, at Kenwood High School.
The event, which will kick off at 8 AM, is a community-focused fundraiser aimed at supporting local veterans and their families, as well as the Kenwood High School JROTC program.
Participants in the 5K will enjoy a scenic route on the Kenwood High School campus, while youth under 12 will have the opportunity to compete in a fun, fast-paced 1-mile race. All registered runners will receive an event T-shirt, and awards will be presented to top finishers in both the 5K and 1-mile races.
The funds raised will go directly toward assisting local veterans in need and supporting the Kenwood JROTC.
“We are excited to bring this event to our community,” said Ernest A. Schmidt Post 2nd Vice Commander at American Legion CSM Gary W. Crisp Post 289. “It’s a meaningful way to honor our veterans while also supporting the future of local youth through the Kenwood JROTC program. We invite everyone, whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out, to join us in making a difference.”
