The Run for C.O.P.S. honors law enforcement personnel who have been killed in the line of duty.
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The sixth annual Run for C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors), was held Saturday and close to 180 runners and walkers participated in the event through downtown as part of the 2022 Law Enforcement Week.
Police Capt. Scott Thornton organizes the event each year along with volunteers from the police department and the community. “We’re doing this in honor of law enforcement officers that have been killed in the line of duty. All of the money goes to the Concerns of Police Survivors Foundation for surviving families in the Middle Tennessee area,” Thornton said.
