CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Around 200 runners and walkers came out Saturday to support the Clarksville Police Department’s Run for C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors). The 5K Run/Walk in downtown Clarksville is a fundraiser for the C.O.P.S. Foundation to benefit the families of law enforcement personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The event is always held on the Saturday before National Police Week which is May 15-21 with National Peace Officers Memorial Day on Monday, May 15. The public is invited to attend the Clarksville-Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony which will be held Friday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Clarksville Police Department Headquarters, 135 Commerce St.
