Clarksville, Tenn. – (Clarksvillenow.com) Close to 125 runners and walkers turned out Saturday, May 14 for the Run for C.O.P.S. 5K. hosted by the Clarksville Police Department. C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors), is a foundation that benefits the families of law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty.
The event is also a way to further a positive relationship between the Clarksville Police Department members and the community they serve. According to Captain Scott Thornton with the police department and one of the organizers of the 5K run/walk, approximately $2,500 will be donated to the C.O.P.S. organization.
