Rufus Anglen Lyle II 78, passed away October 19, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.
Services are Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at Sykes Funeral Home chapel with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be a short visitation from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
He was born at the Medical Academy on 2nd Street on January 10, 1937 to the late Henry Bailey Lyle and the late Clara Roberts Lyle of Glenwood Farm on Edmonson Ferry Road in Clarksville. Mr. Lyle attended Vanderbilt University and later graduated from MTSU in 1961.
He was in the mechanical engineering profession for 40 years in Nashville, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. He served in the United States Navy Reserve for 8 years. He was also a member of Confederate Veterans, Sons of the American Revolution, and the Masonic Lodge.
