Rudolph John “Blue” Sommerville III, age 15, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born April 6, 2006 in Washington, DC, the son of Rudolph John Sommerville Jr. and Darlene Hayes of Clarksville.
Blue is a 10th grade student at Northwest High School. He is a member of Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Church in Clarksville. He enjoyed video games and was good with electronics and computers. He enjoyed playing football and learning karate.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers Tyshawn Rudolph Sommerville of Pocono, PA; Isaiah Thomas Sommerville of Texas; and Lamar Sommerville of New York. Also surviving are sisters Ieashya Sommerville of New York; Jasmine Ramona Sommerville of Pocono, PA; and Sametria Hayes of Clarksville. He is also survived by nine nieces, nephews and several cousins.
Funeral services for Blue will be conducted on Saturday December 11, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Gateway Funeral Home with Pastor Ola M. Parker officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday December 10, 2021 from 5-7 PM.
