CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville’s longest-running home for the performing arts, the Roxy Regional Theatre will announce their 41st season on Tuesday, May 23. That evening’s events will begin with a reception at Edward’s Steakhouse at 5:30 p.m. and will conclude with a formal presentation on the Roxy’s main stage at 7 p.m.

“The new season will include popular titles that will draw audiences from all around,” said Roxy General Director Emily Ruck. “We will be teasing some of these titles on social media throughout the month of May, leading up to the big reveal.”

“The 41st season will include popular musicals, plays and stories that will entertain, educate and enlighten audiences throughout the year,” said Kurt Kowalski, Roxy board chairman. “The new season is an exciting turning point for us.”

This year, having held local auditions recently, theatre goers will enjoy seeing local faces on the stage once again alongside talent from across the country. Other audition opportunities will be available throughout the year.

It was in 1982 that the Roxy first opened as a community theatre, eventually growing to become the city’s first home for professional theatre. Plays like The Vagina Monologues and The Rocky Horror Show have been featured on the theater’s main stage many times over the years, elevating the organization’s popularity in the community.

Will they return? There’s one way to find out: attending the official unveiling on May 23. Tickets are now available on the Roxy’s website at www.roxyregionaltheatre.org.
