CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Roux Americajun Restaurant, in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville, has expanded their menu to now include Sunday brunch.
The restaurant opened in March 2017 with the dining area, speakeasy, and outdoor patio. The Cajun-centric has been a favorite among residents and visitors, earning the eatery a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.
The addition of the New Orleans-style Sunday brunch will feature:
Beignet Burger: One-third pound of fresh ground beef is topped with your choice of cheese, dressed with bacon marmalade, on a beignet buns & served with sweet potato fries. Then everything is dusted with powdered sugar.
Boudreaux’s Big Bite: Tenderized, country-fried pork with 2 eggs, a side of cheddar hash browns, and house biscuit.
Crab Cakes Benedict: Two house crab cakes are fried, placed on homemade biscuits, topped with poached eggs & smothered in hollandaise sauce. It’s served with cheddar hash brown casserole or any flavor of grits.
Grillades & Grits: Grillades (GREE-ahds) is a brunch tradition in South Louisiana. Traditionally made with slowly cooked beef and served over Cheesy Jalapeño Grits with a dark roux-beef gravy with house biscuit.
Additional menu items include the Sunday Mornin’ Po’boy, Spinach Feta Quiche, Fried Shrimp & Grits with Andouille Cream Gravy, and a Double Decker PB&J.
Roux Brunch also features table-sized portions, great for starters or sharing during the meal. Visitors will enjoy Crawfish & Shrimp Beignets, Fried Green Tomatoes with pimento cheese, & red pepper jelly, a bowl of biscuits (rotating flavors like cinnamon or blueberry), Cheddar Hash Brown Casserole, Jambalaya White Cheddar Grits, Bananas Foster Pain Perdu and beignets.
Those 21-years-old and over can enjoy the “Patio Pounders” perfect for sharing a carafe-full of eye-openers, including Mimosas, Mango Jalapeno Margaritas, White Peach Sangria and Strawberry Lemonade Cava. Single sizes also available upon request.
